Payments policy
v1.0 · Effective 23/08/2026
Payment for an item sold on mr.bid Ghana is between the buyer and the seller. mr.bid does not collect, hold, or convert marketplace funds, and it does not run a member wallet or a card checkout.
How sellers get paid
Sellers mark the methods they accept: Cash, Bank Transfer, Mobile Money, and optional Cryptocurrency. Those names are how the seller is willing to be paid, not processors mr.bid runs. On Buy Now you pick a method the listing accepts before the conversation opens. Either party can change that choice until both lock the agreement. Cryptocurrency on a deal also needs the asset and network you both agree.
Crypto Accepted on a listing means the seller said they can take cryptocurrency. You pay them directly. mr.bid does not hold, transfer, or custody that asset.
Fees paid to mr.bid
Fees you pay to mr.bid are for promotions, Professional Seller, or a quoted manual-escrow service fee. They are not payment for an item sold on the marketplace. You pay those fees by bank or mobile money and submit a reference. Staff verify before the placement, plan, or desk work starts. The default escrow service fee is one and a half percent of the item price unless staff set another percent. Changing that percent does not rewrite open quotes. The item payment is still not held in a wallet.
